- The Project Engineering team has an opening for a Senior. Project Engineer to lead development of moderately complex engine systems, modules, and test activity for a new growth turboshaft engine. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, and test of gas turbine engines for defense applications. To meet the needs of the marketplace

in the face of stiff competition, the team must develop the new engine to be the best in the marketplace through execution of world class project management.

- - The successful candidate will lead the cross-functional engineering team to develop the engine module or test to be best-in-market under strict schedule constraints. - The selected individual will provide leadership for all Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) functions related to the specific module or test assigned, including schedule, budget, fabrication cost, technical attributes, requirements validation and verification, direct maintenance cost, and qualification. -Due to compliance with U. S. export control laws

and regulations, candidate must be a U. S. citizen, U. S.

permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U. S. - Key Responsibilities: Lead design and development activity of the component module or engine test through all aspects of the IPDS process on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Key aspects include requirements validation and verification, resolution of key technical challenges, acquisition of development hardware, management of fabrication cost and execution of qualification tasks. Broad indirect span of control of approximately 10 full time equivalent engineers. Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting.

Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $4M. Expected to serve as the single point leader for the assigned module or test assignments Leadership capability with diverse cross functional team Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization Strong commitment to customer satisfaction Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work Implement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies Promote and build strong team working relationships Manage within very difficult resource constraints Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team Balances workload of the team members Monitor work of team members to recognize when they are " stuck" or " off track" Approves schedules and budgeted time for the tasks of the team members Leverages technical experts to review the technical work of the team Leads trade studies and RCCA activities YOU MUST HAVE Must be a US Citizen customer contractual restrictions.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 5+ years' engineering experience in design, development, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical system.

Program/Project Management experience. - Strong cost account management skills. Demonstrates a bias for action and ability to work independently. - Prioritizes time and resources effectively. - Ability to build constructive working relationships with internal customers and suppliers Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to accomplish technical objectives under strict schedule constraints.
