Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Programmer Analyst / Programmer Analyst VR Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. This role will be supporting

the development of virtual reality training solutions, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Virtual Reality (VR) Development. These solutions entail creating and conducting training programs using virtual or computer-based simulations to train maintenance personnel.

The successful candidate has a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, is an effective communicator and problem solver who can work independently and collaborate as a team. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques,

and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language.

The ideal person will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in C# code and will look for unique and efficient ways to meet the challenges presented to our team. The ideal candidate must be familiar with the Unity game engine and the creation of VR scenes using Steam VR or Open XR for the development of military-based training content. This position may be filled at a Level 1 or a Level 2 based on the qualifications outlined below. Pending program win Basic Qualifications for an Associate Programmer Analyst: Bachelor's of Science in STEM Discipline field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 0 Years experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Software Engineering, Design, Development, Manufacturing or Production.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Experience with Immersive Technologies (VR, AR, or similar). Ability to travel 10% of the time. Basic Qualifications for a Programmer Analyst: Bachelor's of Science in STEM Discipline field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 Years experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Software Engineering, Design, Development, Manufacturing, or Production; 0 years of experience with a Masters.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Some examples include: On Trigger Enter, Co-Routines, and Unity Events. Experienced in developing code in a military, defense or similar environment.

Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle using the Agile process with Atlassian products (Scrum, Sprints, Jira, Bitbucket, etc. ). Preferred degree to be in the following or similar fields (Programming, Game Design, Computer Science, or similar) Relevant industry Certifications (Example: Unity Certified). Experience with 3D simulations / gaming technology / game design. Current Active Secret Clearance. Salary Range: $65,600 - $98,400 Salary Range 2: $79,300 - $118,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
