Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL This role is responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of networks, including associated hardware and cloud resources.
Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, and prioritizing the implementation of critical system patches. This infrastructure includes on-premises and cloud resources. --- Develop, collaborate, and implement technical solutions. --- Support customer requirements. --- Provide general system administration mentoring and training to personnel. --- Develop and update technical solutions, operations, and maintenance documentation for personnel. --- Data center support including racking and cabling diverse equipment.
--- Resolves network problems in cooperation with senior network engineers. --- Troubleshoots problems using tools and routine procedures; escalates as appropriate. --- Executes scheduled maintenance routines in accordance with standard procedures. --- Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. --- Work independently and as a team member. --- Management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, and administration of network security. --- Additional duties as assigned. Position Summary The Project Software Engineer is an individual contributor that is fully proficient in the software engineering lifecycle. The Project Engineer independently directs and technically manages engineering and design activities under the guidance of a software lead

The Project Engineer interacts with all OTECH departments as necessary to provide engineering support to other disciplines, integration, test activities, and mentorship of fellow junior engineers. This position is within OTech's Software, Simulations and Controls group. We architect and support unique solutions for Department of Defense underwater robotics systems. Our efforts range from prototypes that meet quick-burn government mission needs, to design and build of systems with rigorous lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who is an effective communicator.
