A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field can substitute for the required work experience.

A c ombination of college coursework and experience as described above may also be interchanged. Additional requirements: Five (5) or more years of experience in server administration, troubleshooting and operational support. Two (2) or more years of experience

Administering Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure. Three (3) or more years of managing virtualized environments. Three (3) or more years of experience with log aggregation and correlation tool suites.

Three (3) or more years of experience with patch management. One (1) or more years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Enhanced FTP. This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description. The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Windows Server administration. Knowledge of Security-related software and hardware including Mc Afee e Policy Orchestrator, Splunk, and Palo Alto firewalls. Knowledge of Dell Server hardware and troubleshooting. Knowledge of best practices related to IT security.

Knowledge of industry-accepted role-based access control principles Ability to write procedures, guidelines, and user guides. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. Ability to communicate technical information effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work independently. Ability to determine work priorities and ensure the proper and timely completion of work assignments. Ability to compile and analyze data. Ability to distill information and translate it into training materials. Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply statutes, rules, guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : The Systems Programmer III performs a comprehensive list of security activities for Windows Operating System Server environment including: vulnerability scanning, event and traffic monitoring, incident response and remediation work, endpoint security toolset management. This position also assists in the maintenance and support of the Microsoft-Windows Operating-System Server environment and its related software.
