Job Summary: We are hiring for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to serve as an IPT Lead in the Software Engineering Directorates Effectors Center supporting a major Advanced Technology Hypersonic missile program as the Software Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL).

The Hypersonic Software IPTL is responsible for managing all cost, schedule, and execution for Software Engineering activities on the program. These activities include but are not

limited to Estimate at Completion Reviews (EACs), proposal reviews, staffing projections, and monthly metrics tracking. In addition, the IPTL will be the primary Software Engineering interface to the customer community, program management, and other stakeholders.

The IPTL is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes all stages of software development and testing for software builds. This position is located onsite in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Apply expertise in software development for embedded multi: processor systems. Manage the execution of all assigned SW work scope, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and review

and approve any SW contract deliverables before delivery to the customer.

Support SW growth through proposal development and the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools. Represent the interests of the Software Engineering Directorate on the program. Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Directorate Managers, Department Manager and Systems and Performance IPT lead. Responsible for developing a team capable of delivering products that include Embedded Tactical flight software, MBIT software, Reprogramming software, Boot software. Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations for Software Engineering and software development, software integration, software test planning, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.

Identification, establishment and implementation of best practices and lessons learned. Represent the Raytheon Software Engineering team to the customer during regular programmatic and technical meetings. Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and 10 years of experience. Active and transferable Secret U. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

U. S. citizenship is required, as only U. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Experience in missile systems design and performance requirements development. Experience using the Agile software development process. Experience leading large teams in a technical capacity. Experience with the US government proposal process. Experience using program management tools to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to management. Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience. Preferred Qualifications: Program Management certification or experience.

Experience using C/C++ language. Experience developing, testing and/or integrating real: time software. Experience using embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOSs) (e. g. Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River Vx Works, Linux, etc. ).
