Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Cyber Software Engineer to join our team! This position will primarily be located in Chantilly, VA and will support the Falkor Program Team within the SIGINT

Technology Center's (STC). The STC is where technology and teamwork come together to meet the unique needs of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.

The STC is comprised of multiple mission-focused programs with projects ranging from Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) SIGINT payload and data link development to OCONUS/CONUS mission/maintenance support. STC tasks include system design, engineering development, system integration, hands-on build and test, field operations and maintenance, training, and production. The selected individual requires expert level software development skills and will be responsible for leading design teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, and test.

Candidates should have a solid foundation with best practices in software design, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) tools and processes, and object-oriented programming. Candidates should be familiar with the Agile methodology of software development. Candidates should be comfortable interfacing with customers and vendors regularly and flowing down requirements to the software team. This position requires onsite work at a customer location in Northern Virginia approximately twice a month. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable degree A minimum of 14 years of experience in the software development including significant time in a lead role (12 years with a MS degree; 9 years with Ph D) Extensive experience with a wide range of object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, Java, etc.

Ability to learn, contribute to, and debug large codebases and propose ways to optimize and employ best practices Experience interfacing with a customer, deriving requirements, and communicating requirements to the software team for implementation Familiarity with Linux environments Active TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Agile software development lifecycle Experience with Atlassian tool suite Experience with Git and Github Experience with bash scripting Hands-on hardware testing experience Experience integrating 3rd party applications, including interfacing with the application provider Active TS/SCI Clearance with FSP Salary Range: $177,100 - $265,700The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
