The Chief Commercial Lending Officer oversees Commercial Lending operations located at our Home Office in Topeka, Kansas or our Bradley Fair Office in Wichita, Kansas. Responsibilities: Reviews existing portfolio for proper risk management and maximization of profitability and value adding transactions.
Cross-sales of various banking products and services are expected when applicable. Develops and execute sales strategies to either maintain or gain clients to increase commercial lending revenue and deposit growth. Ensures that customers receive satisfactory customer service. Develops a strong knowledge of bank's products and identify opportunities to recommend other products or services
to customers. Provide team leadership to achieve identified performance metrics and targets. Strong knowledge of full range of commercial products, credit policies, procedures and terminology.
Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Requirements: Eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. This position is responsible for the entire lifecycle of a product from launch through maintenance and roadmap management which includes managing vendors and contracts for assigned products. To be successful in this role, the person will demonstrate an ability to grow profitability, customer utilization and innovation within their assigned product line working closely with multiple business units – especially our Retail Operations and Customer Experience teams.
This opportunity can be located in Overland Park, Topeka, or Wichita, Kansas. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle,
including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, vendor and contract management and product launch Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI Performs software testing by creating user stories, defining criteria for acceptance, and validating the results with a focus on customer experience Translate product strategy into detailed requirements which are then managed through completion.
In collaboration with Marketing, develop customer communication for life cycle of assigned products from onboarding to maturity achieving increased customer engagement and
retention. Actively identify and solicit customer feedback with a focus on identifying opportunities in assigned product line.
Analyze market data to define product objectives and benchmark product performance. Collaborate closely with IT, marketing, operations and customer experience teams in the development, QA, and release of products or features, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Capitol Federal across primary market segments requiring expert-level knowledge of our industry's and competitor's offerings. Track KPIs for assigned product-line, generate and execute action plans where products underperform.
Works closely with Finance division to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting of assigned product(s). Works closely with Legal and Compliance to create agreements and disclosures for assigned product line Contributes to and provides recommendations for applicable policies and procedures. Participates in audits and compliance exams. Interacts with internal and external auditors. Accountable for compliance and audit results related to assigned products. Manage, mentor and develop subordinate Associate Product Manager(s). May serve as Delegated Officer for one or more Bank Policies for compliance with federal and/or state regulations and laws Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Knowledge & Skills Experience in developing or executing product strategy Proven effectiveness working in cross-functional teams Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills Demonstrable knowledge in a minimum of one of the following product lines: Transaction accounts, time-deposit accounts, and consumer loans Payments (ACH, debit card, real-time payments, etc.
