our team! What are we looking for? Skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces, and especially with taping and compounding walls and ceilings. Should have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures.
They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. Essential Functions : The Facility Painter has hands-on responsibility to maintain the facilities and campus in a safe, clean, secure, and properly functioning condition, while ensuring that the overall condition of the property is above standard. Responsibilities include: Prepare walls
and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. Sheetrock installation including taping, spackling, and compounding Repair cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.
g. plaster) Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools Apply varnish and other finishes as required Operating equipment to perform responsibilities Remaining responsible for all appearance, of properties that are assigned Working closely and collaboratively with staff, security, administration all to support the smooth workings of the school Handling any and all responsibilities as needed and required

Experience and Capabilities : Proven experience as a painter 3+ years preferred Take and adhere to all health and safety requirements. Strong knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc. ) Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail Proven track record of working as a painter.
Flexibility with work schedule as required. Willing to work overtime as required. Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to understand and simple instructions and operate proactively and independently Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail, with an ability to complete all assigned tasks as scheduled Must be a self-starter with the ability to adhere to procedures Valid driver’s license and good driving record Work Environment The work is regularly performed in a combination with the office site buildings and throughout the external grounds, and can be exposed to among other things, the environment, dust, odors, oil and noise.
Physical Demands Workday regularly includes multiple or conflicting demands, deadlines and time pressures; Work may require sustained concentration, considerable physical effort or manual dexterity. Sufficient vision (with correction) to read and to observe more distant objects. Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and/or written instructions. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
