(TCS) contract. The functional capabilities are to provide the information technology (IT) infrastructure services required to deliver timely, relevant, and accurate support of national security. TCS will provide innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment, and disposal of transport and cybersecurity IT services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide to support the NGA mission.
In this role, we're seeking an F5 Network Engineer located in Springfield, VA. What You'll Get To Do: Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, documentation, troubleshooting, and sustainment of local- and wide-area
network hardware and services. Develops system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation. Maintain compliance with QA standards as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
Experience in reviewing mission-related change requirements such as Change Requests (CRQs) and determining impacts on Transport activities across the Enterprise while providing Technical solutions. More About This Role: Engineer and implement solutions for Projects based on customer Change Requests Serve as the technical representative for assigned projects. Provide recommendations on newly submitted action items. Coordinate issues with
the appropriate owners/organizations. Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance the capacity, performance, and reliability of the network.
Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, and ensures compliance with all Government policies. Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams. The AWS Cloud Architect will play a key role in backssing, designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale AWS cloud solutions for different applications, and automating cloud operations and deployment. Provision, manage, monitor, and decommission AWS Cloud services/systems. Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures.
Participating in a daily stand-up meetings to report accomplishments, plans for the day, and any roadblocks encountered. Interact with Government and Contractor staff in meetings and working sessions on Microsoft Teams. Maintain documentation of AWS environment in accordance with Agency policy. Required Qualifications: Ability to attain DHS EOD BA/BS degree + 15 years in the industry or MA/MS + 12 years in the industry 10+ years’ experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering computer systems Proven experience as Cloud Architect with a focus on AWS AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, negotiation, collaboration, advocacy, governance, and consensus building Scripting and automation experience Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, and/or Agile Knowledge of IT Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms.
