You will be responsible to guide the successful design and validation of gas turbine engine components as well as their installations to assure they meet all fire resistance and/or fireproof requirements.

This includes the selection of proper materials and specific design features that enable compliance during tests conducted to the latest fire testing standards for aerospace products. -- Thorough knowledge of such standards is a must. -- You will be expected to backss the vulnerability to fire of each component and define and execute appropriate fire analysis and test programs

to validate each design. Experience with aerodynamic, thermal, or structural analysis methods is beneficial. Frequent interaction with internal and external customers will require proficient writing, speaking, and presenting skills.

--Your work will be integral to satisfying current customers and securing future business by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations. Key Responsibilities Design of gas turbine engine and installation components to comply with fire requirements. Analysis of the vulnerability to fire of gas turbine engine and installation components. Definition and leadership of fire tests. Internal and external customer support. Technical presentations and report

writing. U. S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U. S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.

S. Person, which is defined as, a U. S. citizen, a U. S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U. S. under asylum or refugee status. YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics. 9 years' experience in a relevant technical discipline. US Citizen or lawful permanent resident due to export control restrictions WE VALUE Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Strong understanding of fire vulnerability in aerospace products and means to mitigate it.

Strong understanding of fire test standards like those in FAA AC:20-135 Strong understanding of CFR 14 Part 25 and Part 33 fire compliance regulations Fundamental educational background in aerodynamics, heat transfer, and/or structural mechanics Experience with aero/thermal analysis software, preferably commercial packages such as Star CCM+, Fluent, CFX. Experience with mechanical analysis software, preferably commercial packages such as Ansys, Nastran, or Abaqus Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as MATLAB. Demonstrated mastery of MS Office software.

Self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done, doing things before being asked by others or being forced to by events. Candidate should have effective product design and development skills, team orientation, the ability to set realistic priorities, and focus on critical issues. Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly both in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the topic and audience. Good knowledge of aerospace industry. Willingness to put in the effort required get the job done.
