Responsibilities and Duties: Evaluate and recommend programs and development plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities including utility systems Work with organizational managers, budget personnel and engineering/architectural authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed facility programs/projects.
On a less frequent basis, perform work in the construction management, program/base development, and/or operations and maintenance functions. Conduct site/facility surveys to gather preliminary information and validate requirements.
Develop and gain approval for proposed facility programs/projects. Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site. Monitors and manages projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities from start to finish. Required Education, Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree such as mechanical, civil, electrical, or architecture (Required) Minimum
5 years' experience as a design engineer or project manager.
Knowledge of the fundamental engineering principles, concepts and practices. Comprehensive knowledge of applicable building codes, estimating, design and technical writing. Ability to manage complex projects, supervision and labor, and coordinate to meet the needs of the project. Prior experience working with Government Project Managers on processing change requests, requests for information, submittals and field observation reports and security protection measures. Must have experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project related procedures and complete established project milestones.
Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office applications, BUILDER, TRIRIGA/NEXGEN IT (desired), and E-Gordian/e4Clicks (desired), Auto CAD/Revit (desired) Maintain a valid driver's license. Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. OPSEC training to be completed within 90 days of assignment.
Project/Position Overview: Providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services for all customers and tenants on Davis-Monthan AFB (DMAFB), AZ. The services required include providing installation engineer technical assistance (requirement planning, development, execution) in supporting DM AFB. There will be engineering support for Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization, decentralized Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization, and Military Construction Project Development, Project Planning & Program Development, Installation Asset Management, and the Planning & Executive of In-House Facilities Projects.
