Responsibilities: - Work closely with our clients in understanding their needs and translating them to technology solutions - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Hadoop,
Spark, and other big data technologies. - Define the architectural roadmap for the organization's big data platform, taking into consideration scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Architect, design, and implement end-to-end big data solutions, including data ingestion, processing, and analysis. - Evaluate and select suitable technologies and frameworks based on project requirements. - Design and optimize data models and schemas for efficient data processing and querying. - Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Apache Ni Fi, and Airflow. - Ensure best practices and standards are followed in all aspects of big data development, including
coding, testing, and deployment. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications Requirements: - At least 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on big data technologies. - At least 5 years expertise in Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies, such as Hive, HBase, Iceberg and Pig. - Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python. - Experience with data warehouse design and implementation using technologies like Apache Parquet, Apache Avro, or Apache ORC. - Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and experience with distributed file systems like HDFS. - Knowledge of cloud-based big data technologies, such as AWS EMR or Azure HDInsight, is a plus.
- Experience with real-time data processing using technologies like Kafka, Storm or Flink is a plus. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex big data pipelines. - Knowledge of query engines like Dremio and Pinot - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional Information Pay Range: $140,000 -$195,000 The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.
