More About the Role: The IPT Lead will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians to design, develop, and deliver complex defense products and systems.

The IPT Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer and will be responsible for managing the technical and programmatic aspects of the project, including cost, schedule, and quality. Responsibilities: · Lead design and architecture of scalable and robust Java applications via best practices and industry

standards · Lead the IPT team to ensure successful delivery of products and systems that meet customer requirements and specifications. · Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level developers, fostering their professional growth · Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and maintainability · Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement · Collaborate with other IPT leads, program managers, and customers to provide technical expertise, develop project plans, identify risks and opportunities, and implement solutions.

· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to track

progress and identify areas for improvement. · Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

· Ensure compliance with industry and company standards and procedures, including safety, quality, and security. · Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IPT team. · Communicate project status and performance to stakeholders, including customers, program managers, and executive leadership. · Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, and industry advancements, sharing knowledge and best practices Key Skills: · Java Development Experience: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Java programming language, including advanced topics such as design patterns, data structures, and algorithms · Software Architecture and Design: Strong understanding of software architecture principles, ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions, and proficiency in applying architectural patterns · Frameworks and Technologies: Expertise in Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Java EE plus experience with related technologies like Web Services (RESTful), messaging frameworks, and caching mechanisms · Database Integration and Performance Optimization: Proficiency in working with structured and unstructured data, writing efficient SQL queries, and optimizing database performance · Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments, using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and familiarity with related tools (e.

g. Jira, Confluence) · Advanced Java frameworks and libraries like Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, or Apache Camel · Front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Java Script, and modern Java Script frameworks (e. g. Angular, React, or Vue. js) · Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and associated tools (e.

Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD) · Security practices and familiarity with authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms Qualifications: · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) · Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Aerospace and Defense product development, including experience leading cross-functional teams. · Minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in Java development or related roles · Comp TIA Security+ · Proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-level Java projects · Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
