Job Summary: Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer – Chief Product Owner in Tucson, AZ.
The candidate will lead in the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. The Guidance Section Kit Seeker Software Chief Product Owner will communicate and work closely with the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), Seeker Product Owners (POs), their teams, the program stakeholders/customers,
and other Product Owners in support of a missile system development activity. The candidate will provide technical direction and lead a team of engineers to plan, assign, status, and guide all Agile tasks across the team.
The CPO attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and key stakeholders and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of projects, provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required, provide document reviews, and resolve technical software engineering and integration issues. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. The candidate must be
able to run a team working multiple configurations of hardware and manage multiple development branches.
This position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Work in a team environment developing software applications Decompose seeker software capabilities into actionable features Define backlog priorities for a scrum team based on program requirements and schedule Work in an Agile and Dev Ops development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Systems, Integration and Verification teams Demonstrate ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects) Provide presentations to communicate status to the GSKit Product Manager and stakeholder program leadership and customers Experience with Git, Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server, and Jenkins.
Experience solving SW/HW/FW integration problems Experience integrating and testing SW with SWES, CIL, and HIL test equipment Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience. Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, Vx Works, etc), Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
Experience with C, C++, Python, and/or Object-Oriented Program Languages An Active and transferable Secret U. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U. S. citizenship is required, as only U. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
