Engineer for the role of Mission Planning Team Lead for the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM) program in our Tucson location. The position will be functionally aligned in the ISMA Mission Solutions Design Department.
The Mission Planning Section’s goals are to assist in developing a system Concept of Operation for the entire process from mission planning to weapon employment; to support, drive, and enable key business captures/current programs; execute special projects, and drive corporation-wide business opportunities. Mission Planning development for this critical program Be the “go-to” source for mission planning expertise Develop common mission planning solutions for this program that will also be leveraged for other similar programs Develop team expertise in mission planning methods, software development and tools Grow a mission planning cadre that can assist other similar programs Coordinate with other IPTs, Program Chief Engineer, and Program Management Develop capability delivery plans and lead team execution in an agile framework Engage directly in mission planning application software development and test You will provide guidance, direction, mentoring and influencing skills, and foster teamwork, interdependent execution with younger Engineers Some travel will be required – anticipated 10% domestic, more frequent travel between various sites in Tucson.
Qualifications You Must Have: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. With the above degree, typically requires eight (8) years of documented professional experience in one or more of the following technical domains (an Advanced Degree in a related field can satisfy up to 3 years of experience): Software architecture, design, development, integration, and verification (Linux, virtual machines, C#, C++, Java) Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle Common Weapon Component experience Microsoft Visual C++/C# experience DLL development experience Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Common Weapon Component Experience in any of these related topics: System performance, CONOPS Algorithms and signal processing Aerodynamics, Launch Acceptability Regions, Modeling and simulation (i.
