Candidates should have the ability to work closely with clients and agency staff, including attendance at public and/or construction meetings and represents the company at other events as needed. Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff both verbal and written. Composes technical reports, memorandums and other verbal and written communication. Assigns tasks and reviews work (QA/QC) by less experienced landscape architects/planners Applies independent judgement on non-routine assignments, and provides feedback and guidance by applying advanced concepts, practices, and procedures Works with staff and Department Manager; attends client and public meetings to address project inquiries answer questions, and provide updates on project approvals and permits.

Required Skills & Required Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning by an accredited 3rd party (LAAB). 10 years of progressive experience directly related to design and construction of land development projects in landscape architecture and/or urban design and planning. Licensed Landscape Architecture Required. Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, ) Sketchup, Arc GIS/Arc View.
Experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D 2019 and Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook, Power Point) is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a multifaceted team environment handling multiple projects and priorities. Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview (writing sample, portfolio, grading example). Strong motivation and interest to obtaining licensure or certification as a qualified professional. Preferred: Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Maryland or the ability to obtain Licensure within 1 year of employment.
