DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and work with a SOAR365 grounds crew in the day to day operations which include, but is not limited to the following activities: mowing and trimming of grass at assigned locations; edging sidewalks and concrete edges; policing all grounds for trash and debris; irrigating designated areas on property as needed; trimming and pruning of shrubs and hedges; application of herbicides associated with grounds maintenance (if licensed); leaf clean up throughout entire property; snow removal from sidewalks, walkways, steps and doorways, setting up fencing, removal of cabinetry, carpets and other household
materials or items as required.
Proficiently maintaining the landscape beds to a level free of unwanted vegetation; maintaining mulch at appropriate depths; fertilization of landscape beds.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance or make minor repairs on tools such as gasoline weed-eaters to prevent delays of his/her employees from performing their duties. Responsible for notification to the Project Manager for any tools (new tools to be ordered or tools requiring repair) or materials needed in the performance of his duties. Conduct and/or participate in all job-related training and safety training, Observes and monitors disabled employees; coaches/counsels employees when
minor issues arise; notifies Project Manager of all issues.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to do repetitious bending at the waist, kneeling, and overhead lifting. Ability to operate and control small gas-powered tools and mowers. Ability to work in inclement weather including temperature extremes, rain, and snow. Possession of a current VA Commercial Pesticide Applicator License, Category 3A/3B (preferred) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent. Must have five (5) years of grounds maintenance experience and must have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in this field.
