This position does not work at a specific location, but travels between our area restaurants. Candidates must be able to find transportation to and from any of our locations. 10 hours (limited weekend work required) Health Insurance 401K Paid Vacation Profit Sharing Duties of a Manufacturing-Design Engineer: Evaluate manufacturing processes Developing effective automated and non-automated systems Testing new and existing production procedures Create and maintain drawings and specifications using 2D/3D Solid works Investigate change requests thoroughly and makes design recommendations that yield effective solutions Incorporate interchangeability of mechanical designs, resolves manufacturing design issues, and builds cost reduction into product design.
Apply practical dimensioning and tolerance techniques based on part form, fit and function. Ensure there are
no adverse tolerance build ups. Conduct tolerance analysis studies. Assists with design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or improve quality of product.
Study production and machine requirements Maintains CAD models, drawings, and associated files in the data management system per department procedures. Design and select tooling used in production. Maintain tooling inventory Develop and Implement test and inspection processes for incoming materials, work in process, and finished goods. In support of Quality Assurance. Attends MRB meetings and Management review meetings to provide costs of quality, and continuous improvement plans. Assists with resolving internal and
external quality problems and with implementation of corrective actions.
Resolve issues and delays in production. Creates, reviews, and updates job books, to ensure proper documentation to set standards and customer product specifications UL record keeping and on-site audits. Participation in new equipment and product launch required-skills: BS/BA in Engineering or previous manufacturing engineering equivalent experience Minimum of five (5) years of product design experience. Minimum of six (6) years of technical drafting experience Solid works 2D/3D CAD experience required. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
