Job Summary: We are hiring for a Principal Software Engineer to serve as an Aircraft Platform Interface Software Product Owner in the Software Engineering Directorate's Effectors Center supporting a major Advanced Technology Hypersonic missile program.

The Advanced Technology Aircraft Platform Interface Software Product Owner is responsible for managing all cost, schedule, and execution for Software Engineering activities to deliver Aircraft Platform

Interface capabilities on the program. These activities include but are not limited to Estimate at Completion Reviews (EACs), proposal reviews, staffing projections, and monthly metrics tracking.

In addition, the Product Owner will be the primary Software Engineering interface to the customer community, program management, and other stakeholders. The Product Owner is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes all stages of software development and testing for these capabilities in the software builds. The Product Owner will also be responsible for directly contributing to SW design, development, integration, and test of the Aircraft Platform Interface software. This position

is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Apply expertise in software development for embedded multi-processor systems.

Manage the execution of all assigned work scope, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and review and approve any contract deliverables before delivery to the customer. Support growth through proposal development and the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools. Represent the interests of the Software Engineering Directorate on the program. Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Directorate Managers, Department Manager, SW Chief Product Owners, and Systems and Performance IPT lead.

Responsible for developing a team capable of delivering the aircraft platform interface SW capabilities for the Embedded Tactical flight software, MBIT software, Reprogramming software, Boot software, integration plans, test plans, verification items, analysis scripts, test procedures and test reports. Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations for Software Engineering Identification, establishment and implementation of best practices and lessons learned. Represent the Raytheon Software Engineering team to the customer during regular programmatic and technical meetings.

Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and 8 years of experience. Active and transferable Secret U. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U. S. citizenship is required, as only U. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Experience in missile systems design and performance requirements development. MIL-STD-1553 experience Experience with Universal Armament Interface (UAI). Experience using C/C++ language.

FQT or software test experience. Experience leading teams in a technical capacity. Preferred Qualifications: gen Soft/COE experience. Experience with GPS initialization & acquisition. Experience with navigation initialization. Datalink experience. Experience using the Agile software development process. Experience developing, testing and/or integrating real-time software. Experience with Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA) Experience with Common Flexible Weapon Interface (CFWI) Experience using scripting languages (e. g. Perl, Python). Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified & Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
