The activities of the SL include: Engaging with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Lead Systems Engineers, to ensure systems engineering discipline, and promoting successful program execution; leading requirements development related to the operations concept, architecture, design, development, integration, validation, performance

The SL is a key technical contributor to the program supported by the section and performs direct line management activities for approximately 10-20 engineers.
