DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPhysically handles materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure movement of such items is optimized; lifts, carries, stacks items as needed. Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, some of which may require specialized training.
Responds attentively to training from foreman or more senior handlers in order to increase own knowledge of work processes. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Provision, manage, monitor, and decommission AWS Cloud services/systems. Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures.
Participating in a daily stand-up meetings to report accomplishments, plans for the day, and any roadblocks encountered. Interact with Government and Contractor staff in meetings and working sessions on Microsoft Teams. Maintain documentation of AWS environment in accordance with Agency policy. Required Qualifications: Ability to attain DHS EOD BA/BS degree + 15 years in the industry or MA/MS + 12 years in the industry 10+ years’ experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering computer systems Proven experience as Cloud Architect with a focus on AWS AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, negotiation, collaboration, advocacy, governance, and consensus building Scripting and automation experience Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, and/or Agile Knowledge of IT Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms.
Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English, in a clear, concise manner Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other cloud platforms, specifically Azure Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
