Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed. Prepares sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to client. Consults with client to select materials and furnishings. Uses design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
Determines timelines and project costs and presents accurate estimates to clients. Orders or obtains necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications. Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in company products. Generating accurate estimates by introducing the orders in the system, obtain client’s approval and collect deposits.
Proactively lead showroom tours with prospective clients. Acting as a facilitator for lunch and learns to architects and designers. Follow up on claims for those orders already delivered which presented issues in coordination with the quality department.
Supporting Customer Service team when needed. On occasion, visiting clients at desired location. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use 2020 design software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related
software. Basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish) Education and Experience: Associates degree in Interior Design or related field required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) highly preferred. At least one year of related experience required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to distinguish between colors.
