Core Duties and Responsibilities: · Assists in the development, implementation, and support of, and provides effective mentoring programs in both school and community-based settings
in Clark and Madison Counties, as well as additional enrollment support to Union County. · Provide high-level expertise in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function.
· Ensure all school-based programs and community-based contacts and initiatives are operating within program guidelines. · Regularly exercise discretion and judgment to continually backss match relationships focusing on child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development, family engagement, and volunteer satisfaction. Address and resolve real and/or potential problems and barriers once identified. · backss needs and provide individual
training, information, and support for each match participant to assure a positive youth development experience for the child, a high level of support and engagement for the family, and a successful and satisfying experience for the volunteer.
· Apply strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow the match relationship. · Provide high-level expertise of people skills in order to effectively enroll and acclimate participants into Big Brothers Big Sisters' one-to-one mentoring program(s). · Facilitate enrollment interviews with volunteer applicants; parent/caregivers; and youth to fulfill their enrollment into program(s).
· Conduct thorough review of professional backssments of match participants and make recommendations for appropriate match relationships which will yield positive outcomes. · Develops and maintains effective relationships with a variety of key stakeholders, including, but not limited to youth, parents/guardians, volunteers, community partners and school staff or liaisons · Provide information and resources to youth and/or families in need of additional support or service, as well as maintain contact to ensure the parties in need have obtained the appropriate resources and are on a path to resolution and/or success.
· Serves as agency liaison to the community through participation in various community organizations and events. · Assists in other Program areas when needed, attends events as requested by the agency. · Regularly and consistently demonstrates the vision, mission, and values of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio Required Education and Qualifications: · A documented bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in a field that is determined by that agency to be appropriate for the position(s), or candidates shall be within six months of degree completion.
