This position will function as a team member providing supervision for the Utility Team. Serve as a sub-custodian as needed across the division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms general cleaning and maintenance of the buildings and grounds at various sites, on a special assignment basis, including, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping (dust/wet), dusting, scrubbing, pressure washing and window cleaning, stripping and waxing of floors.
Make deliveries of supplies and equipment as needed. Performs refinishing of hard surface flooring (e. g. VCT, terrazzo. marble) in hallways, offices, libraries, clinics and gymnasiums. Operates various types of
cleaning equipment appropriate to the task. Performs equipment maintenance, including cleaning and minor repairs. Provides basic preventative maintenance to custodial equipment as assigned.
Preforms carpet cleaning and pressure washing indoors and outdoors as needed. Relates positively to the students, parents, co-workers, and other staff members. Provide substitute custodial work as needed at any of the LCS facilities. Assists with LCS warehouse function as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor for Environmental Services. Candidate must be able to regularly lift and/or move items. Candidate must possess a valid Virginia's driver license. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills.
