The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will be able to work with interdepartmental staff, within
a correctional facility in the Healthcare Unit. Dixon Correctional Center is distinct in its size as IDOC’s largest medium security facility and is unique in its diversity.
The administration of the facility is divided into specialized areas that include units housing general population individuals in custody, older individuals with special needs, individuals with disabilities, as well as an Infirmary. The Special Treatment Center (STC) is a medium security center that houses both mentally ill and intellectually disabled individuals.
