located in Tallahassee, FL Position Overview and Responsibilities: Support the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Investigations Section by assisting the Chief of Investigations and Inspector Specialist with managing the case information tracking system and preparing paper and electronic case files upon request; maintain templates and update upon request; obtain investigative information when requested; track and maintain incoming non-jurisdictional correspondence; update Share Point as requested.
Serve as the custodian of investigative records; and assisting the Chief of Investigations with public records requests as needed. Manage the continuity of operations plan (COOP) for the Office
of Inspector General. Interview complainants and prepare timely summations of the information obtained to include completion of Whistle-blower determination forms.
Assist the Inspector Specialist with witness interviews, completion of summations of the interviews, and evidence gathering. Perform administrative work for the OIG related to fiscal, personnel, purchasing, travel, inventory, records management and other major office functions. Responsible for day to day office management including answering OIG main telephone line; post outgoing mail as requested and receiving and processing incoming mail; filing, storing, retaining, and destroying case files in accordance with federal and
state laws. Act as a liaison between the OIG and the Office of the Secretary, Departmental Purchasing, Office of the General Counsel, Finance & Accounting, Information Technology and the Office of Human Resources.
Manage the budget spend plan in coordination with the OIG. As the HR liaison, coordinates with HR to process hiring and termination documentation and ensures staff compliance with CJIS certifications. Assis the Inspector General, Chief of Investigations, Audit Director, and other Office of the Inspector General (OIG) employees in administrative, planning, and audit/investigative activities. Other duties include, managing office gatherings, team building activities, and/or functions and providing administrative support to the Inspector General.
