Job Purpose The Benefits Specialist will support the day-to-day delivery and administration of the Ener Sys Health & Welfare and Retirement Plans. Primary focus will be placed on Retirement Plan administration, employee issue resolution, invoice/budget monitoring and reporting. The position will rely heavily on efficient and effective communication and collaboration with multiple vendors and internal functional areas of HR. Essential

Duties and Responsibilities Support 401(k) administration activities including contribution funding, data validation, communication development/review, 401(k) audit support, and responding to employee and vendor inquiries related to the 401(k) Plan.

Work with Benefits Manager to identify and implement process improvement related to 401(k) plan administration to improve employee experience and efficiency of delivery. Update benefit process documentation as needed. Support Pension Plan administration activities including estimate generation, data validation, communication development/review, pension audit support, and responding to employee and vendor inquires related to the Pension Plan.

Assists employees in understanding the organization’s benefits offerings and acts as a liaison between the organization and third-party benefits providers. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure all vendor payments are satisfied in a timely fashion. Document and monitor all Benefit related payments and remittance. Collaborate with Payroll to ensure employee benefit contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Promptly triage issues related to employee deduction or payment issues. Act as point of contact for questions and issues raised through benefit administrator platform and internal ticketing system (includes system related and employee specific).

Work with Benefits Manager to resolve any escalated issues. Support funding of spending and savings accounts. Perform audits and testing as necessary. Generate ad hoc benefits related reporting, analyze data, document findings and report findings to stakeholders as needed. Responsible for Life claim administration. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least 5 years of work-related experience.

Proven experience working with employer sponsored Health & Welfare Plan and Retirement Plan laws and regulations. Competent computer skills in MS Office (excel a must have). Knowledge of employee benefit regulations, and applicable state and federal law. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of SAP cloud application is highly desirable but not required. Knowledge Kronos Time & Attendance and SAP Employee Central Payroll highly desirable, but not required.
