Counsel Administrative Assistant II Position Number: 41500505 Hiring Salary: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 annually OPEN COMPETITIVE Overview: The newly created Florida Gaming Control Commission (" FGCC" ) is a five - member commission appointed by the Governor.
The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules. The FGCC ' s Office of the General Counsel is seeking an Administrative Assistant II. Position Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant II, working under the direction of the supervising Administrative Assistant III, provides support to the FGCC's Office of the General Counsel. The Administrative Assistant's duties include
preparing exhibits for hearings or trials, serving administrative complaints, and maintaining the FGCC's digital filing system. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Ability to multi- task; Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Ability to work independently. Ability to draft letters and proofread documents. Ability to recognize and act on emerging issues and shifting priorities; and Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.. Minimum Qualifications: At least two (2) years of clerical, secretarial, or administrative work experience;
High school diploma or its equivalent; A valid Driver’s License is required; and Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal; and Experience with Florida's Administrative Procedure Act.
