As a Warehouse Coordinator Associate, you'll work at one of our offsite warehouses to make sure production inventory and manufacturing components are organized, stored and ready to move to our main site for production.
You'll work closely with the Warehouse Coordinator, our truck drivers, production department management and inventory control specialists to make sure Production has everything they need to produce high quality kitchenware, on time delivery for our customers. What you will get to do: Work with the Warehouse Coordinator to set & maintain the trucking
schedule and ensure Production departments have the materials and components they need. Prepare all requirements for trucking schedules. Load and unload the trucks.
Organize and document the location of all materials daily. Assist in identifying excess inventory at Main Plant to move to a warehouse. Plan and organize space requirements at the warehouses. Maintain clean and orderly facilities. Identify and resolve obsolete supplies, materials, miscellaneous that accumulates at the warehouses. Cycle count warehouse inventory as required. Coordinate this task with Department Inventory Control Specialists. Utilize handheld scanning equipment to enter and move parts within the operating system.
Operate forklift truck and hand lifts to move a wide variety of supplies and products.
Perform other related duties as assigned. What you'll bring to the role: High School Diploma or equivalent. CDL training and Commercial License preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control or quality incoming inspections preferred. Ability to meet and maintain Northland's forklift certification requirements and safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Familiarity with scan guns and bar codes. Good computer skills using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) preferred. Experience with Epicor or similar ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.
) preferred. Ability to understand distribution processes. Organized and detail oriented. Analytical, with creative problem-solving skills, strong mathematical aptitude and proficient using a calculator. Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills. Reliable, self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little supervision. Physical Requirements: Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping required throughout the day. Periodic lifting up to 50 pounds. Push/pull/manipulation of materials weighing up to 150 pounds using manual pallet jacks, forklifts and hand lifts.
Ability to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures. Ability to communicate so others can understand. Ability to understand information communicated by others. Ability to observe activity near and far with or without corrective lenses. Must have adequate field of vision, color vision, and depth perception.
