Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that includes climatic temperature changes subsequent to no air conditioning in summer and low volume heat in the winter.
Temperature ranges in the Perishables warehouse are between -20 and 55 degrees in a controlled environment. Must be able to work in cold and humid environment on continual basis. Must pass company required physical, physical strength testing and drug testing by designated company physicians and laboratories. Must be able to work days, nights, or evenings on all days of the week including
weekends and holidays. Required to perform at least the minimum acceptable levels of performance of Engineered Labor Standards.
Must be able to work 8 or 10-hour schedule as assigned. Must be able to lift 100 pounds infrequently, 50 pounds frequently, and 30 pounds repeatedly. Checks in, unloads, and receives all freight for trucks. Verifies quantity, checks receiver against shipping bills. Date-mark incoming freight to assure proper rotation of merchandise. Operates power equipment including highlift, riding jacks. Maintains proper number of load locks for each trailer. Places merchandise in storage area in designated places. Pulls orders for stores from list and transports merchandise to shipping area.
Loads merchandise into proper truck. Maintains sanitary conditions in the warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and general clean up. Follows established safety procedures. Follows all rules of the department, company, union, and State and Federal laws.
