Handles all freight claims, keeping Particle Dynamics Purchasing informed of all receipts, damages and inventory status. Maintains accurate inventory of all raw materials and finished goods. Pulls required raw materials from inventory as needed by production batch records, stages materials for weighing, assigns warehouse space for storing finished goods. Prepares all finished product for shipment,
loads finished goods on trucks for shipment. Is responsible for maintaining the warehouse, receiving, and shipping areas in compliance to c GMP Regulations.
Essential Job Functions: Coordinates delivery of materials with delivery truck lines. Verifies open purchase order for incoming materials before accepting delivery, performs quality check of all incoming materials noting any damages on freight bill. Records accurately the incoming materials description and identification numbers in the Raw Material Log and assigns a Particle Dynamics control number, which is stamped on each container of material. Maintains control of materials held in Quarantine, when released by Particle Dynamics QA material is moved from quarantine to appropriate section of warehouse.
Warehouses raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product. Maintains accurate material inventory and material movements in timely manner. Fills sample orders, as required, and prepares export orders for shipment when ordered. Ships finished product as noted on customer purchase order generated by Particle Dynamics Customer Service. Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly manner. Trains less experienced department members in all facets of warehouse duties and established plant SOP and c GMP procedures relating to the warehouse.
Upon completion of assigned tasks, assist other operators. Perform additional duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Consistently follows verbal and written instructions with a minimum amount of supervision. Ability to read and comprehend Particle Dynamics bills of lading for shipments. Effectively communicates problems and solutions with supervisor, peers, quality assurance personnel and department managers. Ability to perform position duties to the satisfaction of Warehouse Supervisor and Site Manager.
Ability to maintain high level of housekeeping. Demonstrates high level of cooperation with supervisor, fellow employees, Quality Assurance, other department personnel, and contributes to positive work environment. Ability to safely handle heavy equipment and/or material up to 300 pounds, with the aid of mechanical devices where appropriate. Must have current acceptable level of attendance according to attendance policy guidelines. Consistently demonstrates ability to always adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and current Good Manufacturing Practice (c GMP) regulations. Demonstrates safety awareness at all times, and is qualified to safely operate required forklifts.
