Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. The Veterinary Technician will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in veterinary medicine, exceptional technical skills, and a deep commitment to ensuring the well-being of animals under our care. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist veterinarians in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animals. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments
as directed by the veterinary team. Monitor and record vital signs, anesthesia, and recovery of patients during surgical procedures. Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and assist with diagnostic procedures, including radiography, blood draws, and laboratory tests.
Prepare and analyze laboratory samples for further examination. Surgical Assistance: Prepare surgical suites and assist in surgical procedures. Monitor patients during surgery and provide post-operative care. Client Education: Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, post-operative care, and preventive health measures. Provide guidance on medications, nutrition, and overall pet wellness. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate
and detailed patient records using electronic medical records systems.
Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all medical procedures and treatments. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care. Mentor and assist in training new veterinary staff members. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of medical equipment. Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the appropriate personnel. Qualifications: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent experience at a veterinary setting. Previous experience working as a veterinary technician is preferred.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging situations with composure.
