30-hour workweeks (Full Time Equivalent). Weekends Required, no more than 50% per month. Holidays required, no more than four per year. Will be scheduled to work primarily at our Oakdale Specialty hospital. Compensation: $16/hr with some room for negotiations depending on skillset, education, and other factors. The primary function of the Kennel Attendant is to ensure the cleanliness of the hospital. Kennel Attendants are responsible for maintaining proper disease control protocols, including cleaning of facility, preparation of kennels for patients, laundry, and general cleaning and stocking of the treatment floor(s). You will answer phone calls, enter data into the electronic medical record platform, and reduce patient anxiety by troubleshooting issues related to comfort care in the ICU, service failures, or other problems including identifying and resolving the problem through effective decision making and escalating issues when appropriate.
You will function as an important role in the ER / ICU treatment room floors through cleaning, stocking, and laundry duties, as well as assisting the technicians and assistants with keeping animals clean, dry, and comfortable.
