Make your mark with Nextracker. Nextracker is looking for a Structural Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team in Nashville, TN. Working directly with key accounts located throughout U. S to manage day to day issues on utility scale PV projects from the development stage to construction support. The position will manage all decisions relating to Structural Engineering for Nextracker's projects including but not limited to: wind load calculations, steel design and component sizing, foundation sizing, and various other structural engineering tasks and decisions to support project quoting and calculation packages.
Further this position will be interfacing with engineering teams located in the US and India as well as Sales, Project Management, and R&D teams at Nextracker's offices around the world. Responsibilities: Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations Assist in project development phase; review pertinent site information, calculations and cost estimation Produce civil and structural design documentation, drawings, and calculations Prepare wind, seismic, foundation, and other structural calculations and sign/seal those if required Provide construction support; RFIs and submittals Assist in development of Nextracker products, generate full understanding of Nextracker product Coordinate with Nextracker's Structural/Civil Engineers in other regions to create and update structural and civil standards, specifications, templates, and design tools Manage schedule and review structural and civil engineering consultants' works Assist in development of expanding NEXTracker Design Services team Required Skills/Experiences: BS in Civil/Structural Engineering Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, codes and other applicable state and federal guidelines including but not limited to IBC, ASCE ASTM AISC and ACIProficiency in finite element software (RISA, STAAD, or equivalent) and analysis Proficiency in advance frequency and dynamic analysis EIT or PE preferred3 years of structural engineering work experience in the EPC industry preferred Significant portion of work experience must be in structural design, including: dead, live, snow, wind, and seismic loads, design of steel structures, and development of construction documents Proficiency in MS Office, Auto CAD, Lpile/Allpile and other structural analysis software Self-motivated team player Passion for solar a plus Job Category Design, Process & Technology Engineering Nextracker is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
