Main Responsibilities The role will be responsible for designing
and executing experimental studies and data analysis to support product development progressing from early-stage formulation to product commercialization for topical products.
Responsibilities will include scouting for novel technologies and instrumentations; evaluation of external & internal technologies; and technical risk backssment for the formulation, delivery, and manufacturing of consumer healthcare products. The role will further support to meet the target product profile requirements appropriate for the stage of development. The role will implement, analyze, and interpret scientific data to support technical solutions and benchmark specific technologies to establish a business
case in collaboration with appropriate experts. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the product research team to innovate and ideate techniques to boost consumer perception and understanding of the product functions and mechanisms of action.
Role Specific Responsibilities Support instrumentation, protocol development, and data analysis of both cosmetics and over-the-counter topical products Formulating novel prototypes by Quality by Design approach for Over-the-Counter products Technical risk backssment at different stages of product development Identify consumer needs and lead innovations to deliver new products to the market Support developing protocols for consumer research Integrate product design and novel technologies based on consumer preferences Product research with consumer insight and identify techniques for the visualization of the mechanism of action Determine the allocation of time, budget, and resources to meet the project needs Develop budget plans to procure state-of-the-art instruments and equipment for lab-scale prototyping capabilities Collaborate and communicate with external vendors to procure the new equipment, along with scheduling and developing training manuals for employees Scout for the state-of-the-art technologies for lab-scale process improvements Quantitative analysis of experimental results to identify formulations that have the highest probability of success in terms of stability, safety, and consumer compliance Participate in due diligence of various new business development opportunities such as licensing of technology, Rx to OTC Switches, acquisitions, Freedom to operate, etc.
