The core responsibilities of the Research Engineer are to conceptualize innovative solutions to problems that could potentially lead to commercially appealing products, prepare high quality grant proposals to obtain funding support for their ideas, collaborate and connect with multi-disciplinary and multi-functional groups inside and outside of Lynntech to develop and mature their concepts, and lead and mentor teams to accomplish the

goals above. QUALIFICATIONS Formal education/experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Photonics, Aerospace

Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related science/engineering discipline is a MUST.

We are interested in hiring at multiple levels for this position. Candidates with a Master's degree (prefer thesis option) with at least 1-3 years of research experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of research experience (prefer personnel with undergraduate student research experience) will be considered at the Specialist level. Candidates with a Ph D degree (with or without industry experience), or a master's degree (prefer thesis option) with 5+ years of research experience will be considered at the Senior level. In addition to formal education and work experience, the following attributes are valued in an applicant, although passion for the work and the ability to learn and grow are the foremost requirement: Excels in conveying complex and novel ideas through technical writing Passionate about science, technology, and engineering research Demonstrates technical expertise of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice Has project leadership experience with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, and delegate the tasks necessary to meet established deadlines or milestones Experience in leading technical teams and managing projects geared toward technology development, applying strategic and analytical thought into problem solving Capable of working in multi-disciplined science and engineering teams Able to guide and mentor junior engineers in their specific technology area Strong self-starter who can work autonomously Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented environment Capable of prioritizing and balancing competing project demands and conflicting project requirements Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online at.
