POSITION OVERVIEW Quantitative Medicine Program at the Critical Path Institute (C-Path) focuses on the development and innovation of quantitative solutions for medical
product development and clinical needs. Our team is looking for intellectually curious and innovative thinkers for a position of Quantitative Medicine Scientist I.
The goal of this position is to provide support to ongoing efforts in utilization of digital health technologies to support drug development in applicable disease areas. The Quantitative Medicine Scientist is expected to support Quant Med project deliverables in the areas of digital analytics for applicable consortia. Quantitative Medicine Scientist will have an opportunity to collaborate with leading subject matter experts and key opinion leaders within C-Path's extensive scientific network. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.
CORE DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Work with multifunctional internal and external teams to deliver and report the assigned analytics tasks.
Develop analysis plans for digital health technologies utilization in an intended use for specific contexts. Assemble, extract, analyze and interpret clinical data from a variety of sources including large datasets from digital health technologies. Implement AI/ML workflows to the digital health technology derived data. Design and prototype novel data visualization methods, analysis tools, and algorithms. Carry out comprehensive backssment of algorithms being utilized. Implement modeling and simulation plans based on agreed upon best practices (i.
e. model-based drug development). Summarize and interpret results of data analyses with respect to their utility and impact in supporting development of quantitative drug development tools and driving additional research opportunities. Assist in integration of developed functionalities for visualizations and analysis into the applicable pipelines Assist in preparation of scientific summaries and reports for regulatory submissions and publications. Other relevant duties and responsibilities may be assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge/Skill/Abilities: Good interpersonal skills Works well independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to effectively manage time, prepare for meetings, and prioritize project work Programming Skills: Proficient in one or more programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, etc.
Experience in wrangling, summarizing, and visualizing data in python is preferred Experience with AI/ ML methodologies is a plus Experience in signal processing is preferred Reasoning Ability: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Technical problem-solving skills Use sound judgment when working with critical or confidential information.
Language Ability: Excellent oral, written and virtual communication skills. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ph D in data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related disciplines Solid expertise in mathematics, statistics and programming as demonstrated through professional hands-on experience and/or peer-reviewed publications.
