JOB DUTIES: Understand and use scientific and technical language and symbols. Recognize slight differences in shape, color, and texture. Use eyes, hands and fingers to operate delicate and sensitive equipment. Work precisely and accurately. Follow technical instructions which may be oral, written, or in the form of charts or drawings. Use measurable and verifiable information for making decisions or judgments.
Collects and processes all specimen types. Participates in proficiency testing.
Ensures that patient results are reported correctly and seek help when corrective action is needed. Follows all quality control and patient reporting processes. Completes competency backssment. Competent with the LIS and HER systems. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience managing and/or conducting biological surveys with at least 1 year of leading wetland delineation teams. Strong technical writing and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing workloads. Ability to conduct field work for 10+ hours per day, sometimes in adverse conditions carrying equipment and up to 25 pounds. Ability to
work weekends, multiple week shifts away from home, and regularly work in excess of 40 hours per week.
