seating guests, monitoring the flow/pace of the dining room, offering support to servers/server attendants and acknowledging departing guests with a kind remark.

Job Specifications: Outlet: The Hythe, Marriott Luxury Collection Expected Pay Range: $10.63 - $12.86 / hour If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $20 / hour inclusive of tips Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time PM shift Skill Level: Entry Other Specifics: Tipped Job Functions: Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance, adhering to the uniform standards, and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees, managers and guests.

Ensures that the guest experience is pleasant in regard to atmosphere, service and quality by adhering to Marriott brand standards. Capable of being apart of a cohesive team and maintaining a pro-active attitude. Provides professional and courteous telephone skills, takes accurate messages, transfers calls properly, takes reservations and In-Room orders accurately. Accurately maintains the reservations system and communicates all details regarding reservations to the manager(s) and chef(s). Anticipates reservations by pre-setting the dining room.

Creates a professional, warm and friendly welcoming experience to all those that enter First Chair Cafe. Properly greets and seats all guests, according to the brand standards. Attends daily pre-shift huddle and is knowledgeable about daily house counts, VIPs, daily features/soups, etc. Seeks out information and is capable of answering a variety of questions regarding Ocotillo, the resort and the surrounding community. By proper seating, oversees the flow and pace of the dining experience. Keeps the manager(s) informed of any issues that might affect service or timing.

Ensures that, as guests depart, they leave with an acknowledgement and a pleasant wish for them to return. As directed by the manager, provides administrative assistance such as; making copies, posting information on bulletin boards, changing out menus, assisting with inventory and delivering/retrieving mail. Assists the servers and server attendants in maintaining a clean dining room. Ensures all table settings are correct and consistent throughout the dining room. Completes daily side-work such as folding napkins, polishing silver/glassware, sweeping the floors, etc. without being prompted and looks for additional things to do to help co-workers and managers.

Maintains excellent communication between different departments in the resort as well as within First Chair Cafe. Secures all lost and found items and promptly notifies Loss Prevention. Follows safe work practices and reports any safety concerns. Adheres to the state liquor laws and all health regulations. Complies with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation. Performs any additional tasks or projects as required. The expected pay range is $20.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
