goals in the lab include applying CRISPR and chemical screens to identify novel genetic targets and tool compounds that can induce the programmed cell death of blood cancer cells and leveraging the knowledge for therapy development. In-depth mechanistic studies will be performed to dissect the critical survival and drug response pathways using integrated molecular and biochemical approaches, patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), and disease modeling methodologies.
A successful candidate of this position is expected to independently lead a research project, establish and optimize technical assays, design and execute experiments, collect and report results, and develop and prepare manuscripts.
Previous experience in functional genomics, proteomics, metabolism and mouse work are of interest but not required. This position also involves minor lab managing responsibilities.
