The Space Systems Group is seeking Engineering Test Technician Level 3 or 4 based out of the Goleta, CA site. Work will be collaborated with a dedicated Test & Metrology team using a variety of mechanical, environmental and computer driven Metrology equipment. Daily tasks will take this individual throughout our 83,000 sq. ft. engineering and manufacturing facilities, supporting
a variety of program needs. Responsibilities: Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances. Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment. Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes. Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports) Support internal and external customers' needs. Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and engineering issues. Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers' format. This requisition may be filled at either an Engineering Test Technician 3 or an Engineer Test Technician Level 4 as per the below Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: High school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of additional education and/or related experience 4 years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time and have the ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to work (2nd Shift Hours: 1:30pm - 11:00pm PST) Basic Qualifications for a Level 4: High school diploma or GED and at least 6 years of additional education and/or related experience 4 years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Must be willing and able to work (2nd Shift Hours: 1:30pm - 11:00pm PST) Salary Range: $62,900 - $104,900 Salary Range 2: $74,900 - $124,800The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
