The successful Quality Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of incoming material across multiple programs and will interact often with the Production team, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Quality Engineers.
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for completing quality inspections on materials and assemblies coming from internal & external sources, thoroughly documenting non-conformances within the non-conformance database and actively participating in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings. The candidate will also be responsible to assist
in reporting quality metrics with Quality Engineers to assist with tracking nonconformance trends, tracking the effectiveness of continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS).
This position is based in our Longmont, CO office. This is an non-exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position. Primary responsibilities: Responsible for the inspection of incoming material across multiple programs Interacting required with the Production team, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Quality Engineers regarding non-conformance details. Experience / training with IPC and J-STD soldering standards required. Ability to understand and translate complex mechanical drawings, specifications, and procedures. Ability to review & audit material & assembly documentation for accuracy. Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Must be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally. Effective ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks. Ability to work both in a team environment and independently. Strong knowledge of inspection equipment and qualification test and measurement techniques on Raw materials and assemblies Must be a U.
S. Citizen Nice to have Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and concepts Experience working in an ISO9000 or AS9100 production facility Experience with creation of AS9102 FAIR documents Experience with inspection of optical or laser parts Experience with Cost Point and or TIPQA MRP software systems The salary range for this role is $55,000/yr. to $72,000/yr. however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
