A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER As a senior quality engineer, you will assist in the development of departmental processes, document control, and goals with compliance to AS9100D, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and
the implementation of process improvements throughout the organization.
You will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing adherence to procedure and developing inspection documentation for receiving, in-process and final inspection. You will assist in reviewing internal/external non-conformances, and coordinating corrective action responses to prevent recurrence. Responsibilities will also include monitoring supplier performance and coordinating government/DCMA inspections. DUTIES: Drive quality assurance initiatives to achieve product quality and reliability with a focus on design, materials, equipment, and process capabilities. Quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Manage military quality system processes and policies. Coordinate the quality team: provide guidance and direction to quality staff, as well as to functional owners in implementation of the quality system and compliance with quality standards and regulations. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other equivalent engineering degree preferred Minimum 5 years in an ISO9001/AS9100 QMS or other regulated manufacturing environment Experience with GD&T and use of metrology instruments Processing of non-conformances and CAPA Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Strong MS Office Suite skills required Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD preferred Background in CMM a plus.
