Job Description Summary Our paid internship program provides a rich and rewarding hands on learning experience and the opportunity to make a contribution to our organization.
Our interns work in their course of study under close direction of an experienced supervisor/manager. Our quality control interns work in our quarries and test aggregate and asphalt building materials to ensure they meet our high quality standards. This internship is paid at $19-$21 per hour. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Database software Ability to work in a fast paced environment Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer Correct any deviations in these processed or materials from the requirements Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from accepted standards Maintain test result database; input data Assist internal and external customers in any quality related matters Ability to build partnerships
and to work with others to meet shared objectives Demonstrate strong communication skills Ability to create new and better ways for the organization to be successful Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal & informal channels of development Education/Experience High School Diploma Qualified undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited degree program.
Physical Requirements This position requires the employee to frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, climb or balance. The employee is required to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to lift and move up to 50lbs.
