Quality System Management Reviews. Design, implement, and provide ongoing maintenance to the Huish Outdoors Quality Management System. Responsible for the management of the Quality Management System to assure each department; creates, documents, and implements all required standard operating procedures, including inspection criteria for finished goods and raw materials.

Provide functional leadership on quality issues, emerging trends and best practices while providing oversight for daily quality activities. Actively facilitate improvement in new product development, continuous improvement activities & quality initiatives as well as customer interface and manufacturing processes to ensure

quality and reliability requirements are well defined, understood, incorporated, and met.

Coordinate with site quality leads and operations to manage work assignments related to Quality Management Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Further enhance the organization through the use and implementation of various tools such as quality plans, process flows, FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis), and DOE (design of experiments). Supervise, build and develop personnel responsible for quality management, including design, develop and implement quality control training programs to all staff members.

Maintain approved vendor list and track supplier quality Work with suppliers to resolve defective material issues, using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions Identify and further develop KPI's (key performance indicators) within the business to help drive improvements and Operational Excellence. Track and trend companywide quality KPIs and utilize reports to benchmark. Take lead on all product recalls, and ensure coordination between Huish Outdoors, its customers, and government agencies. Analyze customer returns and failure rates data in depth and provide trending analysis.

Update Quality Metrics and review repair data for accuracy, determine root cause and CAPA (corrective and preventive actions) with a focus on systemic improvements. You will accomplish this by collaborating with Operations and Engineering, as needed, to determine root cause of both field and in-process failures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Job Skills, and Abilities Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, manufacturing or related field, or equivalent work experience 7 years operations/quality/supplier quality management experience. Expert ability to manage quality management, quality control, and inspection activities.

Advanced level of knowledge with ERP systems; Netsuite experience preferred. Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to employees. Expert ability to assertively solve strategic problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
