About the role This position supports Residential engineering design and development by assisting the engineering team and performing product development evaluations.
Responsibilities Assists with assembling prototypes and application fixtures. Performs development testing as directed and supervised by engineering staff. Perform Engineering Specification testing in accordance with documented internal procedures. Assist engineers in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and replication
of product failures Participates in maintenance of the engineering lab including equipment, materials and component inventory. Prepare documentation and kit of electronic components for prototype build activity Qualifications Education & Experience: A minimum of an AS degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology Minimum 3 years of experience in a product development environment Experience with electronics lab equipment Experience troubleshooting electronics assemblies Skills & Abilities: Capable of soldering and rework of electronic assemblies including all type of SMT components.
Able to operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators,
network analyzers. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiar with Schematic Capture and PCB layout. Altium experience is a plus. Must be able to read and interpret schematics and specifications. Good organizational skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
