defined in 32 CRF Part 117, Intelligence Community (700 series) Directives and Do D Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual (Do DM 5205.07), Volumes 1-4; Serve as one of the Division's Contractor Special Security Officers. Ensure facility compliance with all security regulations, manuals, and policies.
Implement and administer other security functions as defined by the Division Security Manager. Supervise the operation of Division and facility classified work areas; maintain applicable directives. Supervise Division classified work areas; ensure classified information is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded; ensure classified information
is destroyed by authorized means in compliance with applicable government directives. Serve as the Division POC for submitting/receiving classified visitor clearances/accesses including foreign travel.
Administer personnel, information, physical and technical security actions and procedures in support of classified programs. Investigate security infractions. Conduct continuing security education training and awareness programs to ensure cleared staff are kept informed of the requirements and guidelines for protecting classified. Ensure appropriate accreditation documentation is available and maintained for current classified areas. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Open and close all
secure facilities & security containers on a daily basis. Conduct daily End-of-Day (EOD) checks for all secure facilities, rooms and security containers.
Conduct monthly HVAC, ventilation, and inspection port security checks for all secure facilities and rooms Provide oversight to employees' security clearances. Ensures that all aspects of the security clearance process are properly conducted. Responsible for the updating of DISS and NBIS programs. Responsible for the Site Protection Plan, NISS program and other associated documents/programs. Assists with the Insider Threat and Counterintelligence Programs. Monitors security requirements outlined in government contracts.
Assists Program Managers with compliance with security requirements. Conduct monthly random personnel security inspections for all facilities and rooms. Conduct monthly above ceiling penetration checks for all secure facilities and rooms. Conduct monthly fire extinguisher checks for all secure facilities and rooms. Requirements: Requires a Bachelors in Business, Security, or related degree fields. 3-10 years: Experience in security, law enforcement, military Special Security Officer career. 3-10 years: Experience as a Facility Security Officer or alternate Facility Security Officer.
