This position requires a Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. All employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations regardless of series, based on occupational

risk, and are subject to missing/required immunizations. This position may have specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a regular and reoccurring basis.

This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. A pre-employment physical is required. This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain a Clinical Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or a Registered Medical Assistant Certificate within 12 months of the date of hire and maintain for duration in this position. Prime source verification (PSV) is required.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes documented experience which demonstrates experience: performing non-professional nursing/medical assistance work assisting Health Care Providers with medical exams; administering immunizations and medications ordered by the health care providers; and obtaining specimens (blood, mucus, urine, etc.

) for laboratory testing. OR Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position. OR I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some education leading to a bachelor's degree but less than required in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12.

Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. ).
