Job Summary The focus of the role is to lead the development, aggregation, and documentation of business logic and calculation methodologies for sustainability data across the organization. This individual will sit within the Sustainability Program Office (SPO) and will work cross-functionally to develop internal requirements for the sustainability data lake, create data models for managing the corporate GHG inventory, and partner with the product team to define the logic for allocation of environmental data flows (carbon, water, etc) to customers.
Candidates will be familiar with agile & sprint project management, ELT (extract, transform, load) pipelines, working in structured and non-structured data bases, as well as have experience with Power BI & Tableau. Responsibilities Responsible for developing & documenting business logic and calculation methodologies for sustainability and environmental data Cross-functionally collaborate with the product development team to create an organization-wide data lake for sustainability and environmental data Own prioritization and pipelines for data configuration & modeling Define and document requirements for environmental sustainability dashboard creation Drive customer support sustainability data issues to resolution Support the creation of feature validation test cases for sustainability products Partner with customer-facing teams, the SPO, Business Development, and Marketing to translate future customer sustainability data requirements into product features Expectation to grow into an expert on data center, real estate and technology-related sustainability topics including deep expertise in technical sustainability concepts relevant to Equinix's industry Qualifications 1+ years of experience in sustainability 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or product 2+ years of experience with Power BI & Tableau preferred but not required Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental science, statistics, mathematics, accounting, data science, or relevant STEM discipline required Master's or MBA preferred but not required Familiar with ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines and working with both structured and non-structured datasets Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex sustainability topics to a broad range of audiences Working knowledge of sustainability programs specific to energy, environment and emissions (e.
g. The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $82,000 to $130,000 per year Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
