" -George Kurian, CEO Job Summary As a S&OP Planner/ Business Analyst, you will utilize your analytical expertise to identify opportunities and make recommendations to enhance Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will develop various forecasting / financial models and demand planning algorithms to increase demand predictability and S&OP plan accuracy.
You will work cross functionally with Sales, Product Management, Finance and Supply Chain Operations to drive alignment and increase process effectiveness. Your data driven insight will enable effective decision making and help the organization become more agile, scalable, and efficient.
To be successful in this role, you must be a motivated self-starter who is highly analytical, inquisitive and has a solid understanding of data storage business and configured systems. You must have a passion for solving business problems and be a team player with strong communication skills. Essential Duties: Analyze large data from various source and create bookings forecast models for Sales & Operations
plan. Identify critical data and data patterns to improve demand predictability and accuracy.
Run simulations to evaluate how various factors (i. e. pricing, technology, capacity, configuration, etc. ) impact product mix and volume. Develop data visualization and dashboards. Plan/coordinate product transitions with cross-functional team to support revenue target and proactively mitigate excess & obsolete inventory. Facilitate and lead ML /AI capabilities implementation in the forecasting space. Appy analytical expertise to develop and report KPIs Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve S&OPplan. Lead root cause identification and continuous improvement efforts in the S&OP process Provide data driven insights that help in operational decision-making processes such as strategic spend, cost reduction and supply chain strategy.
Facilitate and lead S&OP Plan review with various functions. Assist in supply and demand optimization by providing demand outlook and riskassessment. Lead/participate in supply chain projects from data analytics perspective. Job Requirements Solid understanding of S&OP, demand/supply planning, and supply chain. Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics. Understanding of how data is constructed within the systems and ability to source/blend information for analysis.
Experience in building statistical forecast models. Strong understanding of ML/AI concepts. Working knowledge of SQL, R or Python/ML. Strong experience with data visualization/BI SW (Tableau, Power BI, etc. ) Ability to manage ambiguity and address unstructured or less defined problems. Problem solver and change agent who can identify problems in advance and propose solutions. Ability to build rapport with all key stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities through understanding impact on business results.
Experience with SAP IBP a plus. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering. and test-related apparatus at the assigned test facilities.
Primarily the facilities are industrial process facilities. The candidate will provide documentation, training, and technical direction to technicians and electricians in the installation, checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of the respective systems at the assigned test facilities. Complex requirements for instrumentation and control systems require considerable creativity and judgement in accomplishing tasks that support project, functional, cost, and schedule requirements. Develop, update, and maintain electrical and mechanical schematics for instrumentation and controls that meet project test requirements.
Develop, update, and maintain procedures for instrumentation and control system checkout, integrated system test, calibration, and operation. Provide technical direction to technicians and electricians in the installation, checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of the respective systems at the assigned test facilities. Prepare hardware/software specifications and purchase requisitions for facility instrumentation and control equipment. Evaluate vendor proposals and provide technical recommendations for procurement. Develop plans and requirements for upgrading and maintaining facility instrumentation and control system hardware and software Provide technical expertise in programming, assembly, configuration, and maintenance of PC-based computer systems and industrial programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Provide support for special tasks involving detailed engineering analyses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position Visual and physical contact of test system hardware and installed test articles. Multiple workstation assignments (office, test facility, control room, laboratory, shops, etc.
). Transportation of notebooks, drawings, forms, etc. required. Description of Work Environment Work is accomplished in an office, control room, and in and around project facilities. Must be able to use respiratory protection in confined spaces. Some work areas are high in noise. Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks Office and control room equipment includes computers, calculators, electronic instruments, mechanical instruments, and miscellaneous precision measuring devices. Criticality of Attendance Work assignments are usually during normal work hours, but overtime is frequently necessary to support meetings, test schedules, and test operations.
Testing may occur any day or time of day, depending on the schedule and test requirements. Regular daily attendance to San Jose Office is required to maintain team effectiveness. Travel to the different project sites will be required. ABOUT YOU Good communication and interpersonal skills are highly desirable as the Controls Engineer will interface with other Engineers and Technicians and will be required to produce system documentation and procedures and train personnel. General knowledge and understanding of aerospace testing and facility operations is desired.
It is also desirable to have direct working knowledge of the following types of equipment: PC computer operations (MS Windows [XP, 7] and Macintosh OSX, MS Office) Signal conditioning and data acquisition and processing hardware and programming (National Instruments Lab VIEW) Programmable logic controller hardware and programming (GE Proficy, Rockwell RSLogix, Emerson Ovation) Human-Machine (i. e. User) Interface hardware and design Test instrumentation (multimeter, oscilloscope, pressure / temperature / electrical calibrators) Specialized measurement instrumentation (position, pressure, temperature, and flow transducers and switches).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: a BS or higher degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical or related engineering discipline with 3 or more years of related experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.
